New to the platform and the forums...

It's been a long debate on which car I was going to replace my GT2871R B5 A4 with, especially considering I have no money and that I don't really want to spend all my time and money on my car at this point in my life, or ever, actually. I really wanted RWD and an LSD and something that wasn't incredibly boring (Civic). After seeing how crap the E36s in my budget were, I ended up with this E30.

It's an '86, but features an M20B25 and a 4.10 LSD. I'm pretty happy with it... After the winter, I'll probably try to fix up the exterior a bit. Maybe. I kind of like the sleeper-thing, and also not having to wash my car. :P

So, just wanted to say 'what's up' and let ppl know who I am before asking some dumb questions. :)

    Welcome
That looks like a good start. I just got my first e30 and car for that matter and I love it.

euro bumper on the back, painted black, would still be sleeper.

Yeah, with a B25 and S4.10, the car is hugely entertaining.

              Thanks, guys...

Yeah, I've got a few pics.

              * DISCLAIMER *
I have black bumpers on a white car. Yes, I painted them that color. I was eventually going to do the whole car black, and yes, I've already gotten a whole lot of crap for it on my other forum. So if you're going to say something stupid, just save it.

...Yeah, a lot of ppl hated my car, and even hate (still) me, just b/c my bumpers were black. They kind of ignored the rest of the car...

is it me or did your fog lights kind of protrude out a bit on the A4 ? That's a very mean look none the less.

Grats on the decision with the E30, the 4.10 LSD is sick.

@ThaiRacer: I blew the engine... So, I'm parting the car out. While I liked the car a lot, she was a money-hungry monster and I got sick of putting all my money into it when I have other things (like food) that I could be spending on.

Kinda sad, but kind of a relief. Good closure to an unhealthy relationship. :P

@Philipangoo: Yeah, the fogs stuck out a bit - they were just a Hella fog kit. I was going to work on something a bit more flush with a different bumper, but everything went up in smoke first. Thanks for the props... I find about exactly one half of all ppl who see my car like it. The other half want to throw things at me. :P

haha, welcome! You should turbo the m20! Especially since you have 90% of what you need to anyways. good to see someone picked up Greg's car. Now you can come down to the weekly meets!

Will do... Esp considering I live about two minutes from that shopping center.

Nah... No turbos for me unless I'm on forged internals. A twin-screw SC might be fun, but doesn't look like that'd be as easy, and then cost/benefit isn't as high as going turbo would be. If I do turbo, I'm going all the way - full standalone and everything. Historic tags, FTW!

You need 5 cylinders if you don't want your audi motor to blow up. What forum was giving you crap for the way that car looked? I used to be on motorgeek when I had my 5000csq.

Plenty of people make over 300whp on stock internals with studs and a MLS headgasket.. M20's are extremely strong motors, doubt you'll blow it up unless you go really big.
