Yea, I would get them up here somehow for $100 bucks. My buddy is coming back with me Ithink room might be limited, i guess if they both would fit in the backseat somehow, it could be done. Also my buddy might be following me down now in his Audi S6, then there would be plenty of room to bring shit back.

Ok 2 days lost from the trip, but she is finally inspected!!! When I was pulling that loose tierod, i found the reason it was so loose.

The threads were so stripped off the tierod and nut, I dont know how it stayed on!!! One good pothole could have ruined the whole trip!!!! IM SO FUCKING LUCKY I GOT THAT INSPECTION TICKET!!!!!!
I did the front brakes, new rotors and pads. Looks like the weather will be with me. Hopefully I can get on the road in the next couple hours. Im on the fence since, I lost 2 days (Wife says be back by Tuesday!!) but I think im going to go for it. Will keep you posted.

Made it to South Florida, ended up driving thru alot of rain and bad weather. But I made it in one piece, only got one ticket in Virginia and they really harassed me. New York plates pissed them off I guess. Its only a 80 in a 65. Hope I can just send it in. At least the car is running like a top. Pics to come soon!

glad you made it down safe. I had some relatives driving your route and they were telling me the weather was horrible and that visibility was nil during the rain.

Dude it was nasty, and on I-95 all these trucks are flying and passing you with no visibility. I realized at night I really need HIDs on this car. Compared to other cars, my headlights seemed dim. And I need to fix my foglights, hehe. Pic of Betty the BMW in carport in front of my room at South of the Border.

What nut was that on the tierod? Was it the nut that is in the middle that holds both sections of the tierod together to make it whole? Or was it the nut that connects the end link of the tie rod to the car?
