    Window trim?

I'm tired of touching up my "painted black" window trim, so I was wondering if anyone knows how much black window trim from the factory or a bmw parts site would cost? Has anyone bought it?

    Thanks, George

I seem to recall all the trim totals just over $400.

no. Just get used shadowline & repaint it, or just paint your existing.

good idea, but I know it's a PITA taking the used shadowline off the car because it cracks and bends easily. I also attempted to paint mine that is on the car but I was not very pleased with the results; it also chips and gets nicks eventually from highway driving.

            uh huh...

            I painted mine.

I have logged about 9,000 miles. I would say a good 1/3 of that is highway.

Not a single nick or chip.

Yes. A good sanding job, self etching primer, and SEM trim paint.

Do it right so you don't have to do it again.
