give it another 10,000 miles.. also, there's a billion gravel trucks around here, maybe you don't have that where you live.. I haven't had any paint flake off, but there's a billion small pits in the leading edge of my trim now (nothing compared to my windshield though!). I hate gravel trucks!

Has anyone tried powder coating their trim? I know that Eastwood Co. sells a small powder coating kit. You just need an old oven to cure it. Just curious...

Kris bought these parts for his car from BMA, they cost about $440-460 IIRC. If those part numbers don't work, hit up Kris, I am sure he still has them.

this quote comes directly from the back of a can of SEM:

SEM TRIM BLACK is formulated to match the OEM finish on many automotive exterior trim components. 39143 is designed for maximum adhesion on properly prepared surfaces without the use of a primer.

Yes. PROPERLY PREPARED SURFACES. I seriously doubt they are referring to chrome. Since the trim is chrome, it's a good idea to use a self-etching primer after doing a thorough sanding job. Once again, do the job right, and you won't have to do it again.

No primer.. so self etching (acid) primer either.

Just scuff properly with a 3M scuff pad and fucking shoot it.

If you prime it wont stick nearly as well.
