My buddy is currently going to see some "soulmate" as he describes, for the first time, driving from Grand Rapids, MI to somewhere near Toronto, Canada. I'm currently in Northville, MI with complete access to 4 empty lifts and innumerable tools at the corporate office, and he's about 2 hours past me and 5 hours from them.
He just informed me that he's started leaking a quart per hour, and we knew before he started that his rear tires are so bald that the cords are creating sparks. Tire Rack JUST dropped off his replacement tires (275/40R18 Potenza RE-11s :D ) and though we don't have tire machines, theres a place just down the road.
I suggested he turn around and come this way, and I'd take care of it for him, but he's headstrong in making it there then going to some random shop to fix his oil leak.
He's also going up there 2 days earlier than expected (and she doesn't know this) so it's not like he's pressed for time.
I should probably just quit worrying about it and hopefully he'll get there and not pay too much at whatever shop he decides to go to, but I can't get over how stupid carrying on seems to me. Though when i read this back to myself it sounds like I think the whole situation is stupid. Combination of both? Uggh.
