    Quick question regardin an 89

    Im going to check out and 89 325is today and apparently it has metal bumpers. if i want to swap the bumpers should i stay away from it ?

    nope! Bumpers won't be as bad as some of the older models. go for it.

      Are u sure its a 89? I didnt know that u can convert PB's to DB's

        my car is a 89is w/ plastic euro bumpers/tech2 kit.
        while I didnt install it, I know it can be done without the trouble the older cars give you. Don't take my word for it, there must be 1000 threads on here about it.

          sure its not an 88?

          I'm pretty sure 89's came stock with plastic bumpers.

            If it has the same lower valance as the PB cars it is a easy swap.

              i havent checked it out. i spoke to the guy last nite and he says its an '89 so for now ill take his word on it. i kno some 88+ had the metal bumpers so i was wondering if id have the same issues as the pre88s do

                    In my sig is what a 88+ front valence would look like. If it doenst look like this then its an early E30's.

                        Why is this so hard.

                        89 cars did not come with metal bumpers, other than verts. End of story.

                              88's look just like a 89, but the 88 will have the 87 aluminum bumpers.
