getting rid of shitty dog smell in my house, opinions plz.

So i have a roomate who has 2 dogs that shit and piss wherever they damn well please, not to mention the fuckers eat everything, including a check i wrote her for my rent. Well, I have no problem with keeping the dogs, but the smell is just overbearing. I mean downstaitrs in the livingroom is just fucking unbearable, i mean it smells like ammonia was dumped all over the floor. Upstairs where i live, I cant really notice it, but ive been told you can still smell it. Other than getting rid of the dogs, what are my options? Were already tearing out the carpet and putting in pergo in the livingroom. I need like some stuff to spray all over my room so people dont tihnk i smell like dog. I just moved in, so i hope all my shit doesnt smell like shit already. Im thinking of buying like 20 candles, and that shit you put on your carpet then vaccum up. Added to that i think i may get some plug ins, and oust air sanitizer.

What would you do, anyone been in the same situation?

Steam clean your room (and the downstairs wouldr eally help too). Then febreeze, keep your door closed, and maybe look for a deoderizer(sp?) Charcoal canisters work well.

You wouldn't be the first person who I've heard say that. And yes, Febreze is the shit.

buy one of those air ionizers from brookstone. I got one off of e-bay for $40 shipped brand new and its awesome. takes all kinds of dust/alergins/pet dander out of the air and it smells much better...
I like my house though, all hardwood floors and no pets so its very clean smelling.
