    Weight Overkill?

Weighing down my eS for the winter in the trunk with 50lb sandbags. You guys think 250lbs or 5 sandbags is overkill?

120 or so should be fine... Use a few bags of kitty litter, if you get stuck, you can use it to create artificial traction when stuck.

Apparently you have been smoking too much "leaf", two 50lb bags is plenty. In fact, if you have good snow tires weight is unnecessary

Yeah... this must be what happens when you only have 100 lbs in the trunk:

I feel guilty now, that was mean. Glad to see you came out of that without injury.

If you need sandbags for your IX, chances are that your VC is shot.

Thanks Bill but I said it was for my eS. Understandable as my iX is my sig.

Good snow tires and 2 or 3 50 pound bags seem to be the key.

Good tires should be enough. I never weighed down my E30's in the winter and they've always been more-or-less fine...
