Just got back yesterday from a 3 day excusion to the White Mountains of NH. Got to ride for free at Bretton Woods, Cranmore, and Shawnee (which is about 2 miles into Maine). The area got 8-14 inches of powder Sunday night and the riding was incredible. Cranmore blows but the other two mountains are real nice. I want to ride Wildcat sometime as I heard its pretty good. I was real impressed with Shawnees park too for this early in the season. Couple nice table tops, a box, two C rails and another regular one. Really fucked myself up o nthe C rail but thats cool. Someday Ill nail it.

I was just going off the ski reports on RSN. By the time I got to the mountains at like ten they were pretty much packed powder. Bretton Woods had good snow throughout the day. Cranmore was a sheet of ice and Shawnee was beautiful till about 2, by then all the little kids learning to ski had pretty much snowplowed the good snow away. You should get off your ass man, the riding is nowhere near as bad as your making it out to be. Although that rain will make things suckBack to my roots

Usually i'd agreed people should hit up the PNW but this year is terrible!!! The resorts just recently started getting enough snow to open up most of their lifts, and I'm just now starting my job at one of them  I must say it's a very disappointing year to buy a season pass for those who bought one for Mt. Hood. I dont know about any other mountains up here, but I'm guessing it's the same deal.

It was a horrible experience, btw, hardly any snow, and it was my first time boarding (I am actually an avid skier)

The snow this year is coming REALLY late. Timberline is the only place worth going on Mt. Hood. Bachelor just got a decent amount of snow.
When I was in Tahoe at Heavenly the base was only about 30"! But they just had about 4 feet dumped on them the past few weeks so they're OK now.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.

Ya this year blows when it comes to snow on Mt Hood. 2 years ago at this exact time we had a 100+ inch base :(. Now its like 15in.... But hey im going up monday anyways... This is my first time going up this season which is sad cause I was on my highschool snowboard team and we went atleast 3-4 times a week for the last 2-3 years... So its a little weird not going yet.
