    Sounds like you'll need new e brake cables.

    Theoretically not a difficult job, but you may find the rear fuse-welded into your hub and it will be a pain to get out.

      They aren't that hard to do, you can find them on pelicanparts.com. You don't need any other parts, they are complete.

          it's gonna be a pain since I think you'll have to do both sides in the rear. Messing with the shoes is not my idea of fun
