    The VS Bushing Thread. (give me some suggestions)

    So I was reading through the excellent urethane upgrade thread and need some suggestions.
    Heard bad things about AKG and squeaking so I counted them out.
    There are the IE Delrin which seem pretty good, stiff but good. Most of the roads around me are in excellent condition so vibrations aren't a huge concern.
    Powerflex comes next on my list. They seem good and well designed but I am not sure how stiff they would be. SO IE delrin Vs Powerflex? your thoughts..
    What about engine mounts and transmission mounts?

    I don't get the squeaking comments, I've had both AKG and IE and never had a single squeak. Plus the trailing arms rotate around the bolts, not the bushings. People must be doing something wrong.

    as far as delrin, it's going to be pretty harsh. I'd go with something in the 80a range, stiff but not completely solid. 70a is a little soft.

        Is this a street car? Street and track car? Track car?

        I am going Powerflex on the subframe and trailing arms. Factory on the dif. But mine is a street car, that might see track time, but isn't planned. I want good control, without sacrificing comfort.

        In our track rat, we have delrin all around. The NVM is quite apparent. Not something I would recommend for a street car at all.

            It's a daily driver that sees daily canyons (my daily commute luckily enough) and will be seeing a fair amount of track time. It doesn't need to be terribly comfortable. I am in a Sparco Sprint V solidily mounted with a 5 point harness. Comfort isn't that huge

              I had powerflex for the rear subframe on my car and it was fine. Pretty solid but not too harsh. And I live in MA where the roads suck balls.

                  Offset is ONLY for high speed straight line stability.

                  AKGs rock ass. Zero squeaks, cheap, flawless fit, easy install.

                  Rear trailing arms though...well, have fun with that.

                    so non offset for the cab? they looked pretty torn up (literally) but i am wondering if thats causing the poor alignment

                      If the CAB's are worn out, they'll play major havoc on the alignment. When i first got my car, the bushings were junk and the front tires which had just been replaced recently were destroyed.

                          AKG personally. All of the bushings on my car are AKG, and I have no squeaking.

                            I did read bad things about akg quality but everyone i know speaks highly of them. Was it a thing with their older products or what?

                              From what I've read, IE and AKG both have seen better and worse production periods of time. IE used to be the way to be. Now it's AKG and quite a few people have said not-so-positive things about IE's current line up.

                              Not to thread jack, but I thought the off-set M3 CAB's were a good replacement over the stock-centered non-solid version? Am I wrong? I'm in the market currently to replace mine. Opinions?
