Mounts are Type 1 from e30.de I have the engine in Position 3.
Yep the 87 325e 5-speed is the only e30 driveshaft with the large guibo(other then the m3) and I think the m3 one needs shortening also.

Yea, they say with position 3 helps balance out the car. How does it feel to drive?

My first impression was that it was a tad nose heavy...but not what everyone says it will be like. Deleating the AC helped some too I'm sure.

I'm not sure how your motor feels, but my car is torquey as all hell. And silky smooth....Of course I still haven't chiped it or have the proper exhaust, so there are a few more ponyies to get out of my 3.5

It's great I haven't noticed the nose diving per say, just that the brakes arn't quite up to it

Would you happen to have any idea if it was the early 87 or the later 87 that uses the large guibo. Production was split that year.

How well did the DS fit? perfect? How much "yoke" (splines) are you showing?

Perfect, I had to slid the shaft longer to make it fit, maybe .25-.4 inches of spline showing, Easy to put in and remove.
the stock e30 5-speed shaft is the same legth you would just have to run the smaller guibo and swap the tranny flange. With the m30 torque I'm not sure how long it would last.

ya the 87 is the only one with the Large Flange. But I was saying it's the exact same length as the 84-87 then 88-92 e30 5-speed m20 driveshaft. So if someone wanted to swap the tranny output flange and run the smaller guibo they could save some money.
