I was in Cozumel for 8 days the first of December. I'm old so I like Cozumel MUCH better than Cancun. Plus we went to dive, not to drink.

I've been to Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta too. PV is best for food and scenery, but the water in the Yucatan is so damn nice. I just couldn't believe how expensive everything in Cozumel was. Hell I can eat cheaper in Houston.

Bocas Del Toro is the place... Pristine, virgin beaches on the Caribean side.. Decent surfing, great scuba diving.. swimming with dolphins and all that touristy crap.

It's small, out of the way.. food is cheap and liquor is cheaper..

oh, and it's beautiful as hell and still hasn't been pillaged by plundering corporations. Yet it still attracts people from all over the world.. and hey, the chicks that show up there are hot as hell :)

Actually, that's Columbia and to a lesser extent Costa Rica.

Costa Rica was dirt cheap. I stayed in Tamarindo for 2 weeks, and I spent $110 on food. FOR TWO WEEKS, EATING OUT EVERY MEAL! Hotel was reasonable too, and the surf.... :shock:
