Intrest in skid plate?

I just bought the last E30 factory skid plate in North America. It was not cheap. Anyway I'm thinking about having a local steel shop duplicate it. How many of you would be interested? Target price would be less then $200...$40 less then dealer wholesale price.

Everyone has been saying this for more than a year now, AFAIK they have to import them in and when domestic stock is low they tell you such.

What quality are you expecting and what material are they gonna use? Similar design or a modified design?

Its still expensive. Looks lke shit and is heavy. Andreny had one made for him and Im sure it was much cheaper for what it is.

Well we will see. I ordered one for the 87 on E30.

I won't no much until I talk to my steel shop. The kind of metal we use will have to be strong enough to keep objects from crashing into the oil pan, yet as light as possible. If I think we can reduce the weight but tweaking the design we will.
