    New to the forum

    Hi all,

Been a bit of a lurker but decided to join because e30tech never completely registered me.

About Me: I am a chemist and a long time lover of all things mechanical. I've been working on cars and bikes since I was 16. I've owned and worked on vintage honda bikes, old Chevy’s, and I had a mean turbo awd dsm for a while. I choose the e30 because I admire German quality and light rwd platforms are rare finds these days.

I have a fair bit of experience doing a lot of things especially with turbo's. I am always willing to try to do things myself and learn in the process. I know that these forums are the best sources of information (used to be on dsmtuners) and the people here can extremely helpful.

I purchased an 87 325is recently for a project car. It's a nice car, but found a lot more rust as I've taken it to bits . Right now I'm doing rust repair, body work, and prepping for paint. It’s a lot of new stuff to me and a LOT of work.

I have plans to turn the car into a fun summer daily driver. The m20 has been replaced recently and feels fresh. I have modest plans on a fun 300ish hp car with decent spool. I really want a FUN car to drive and hopefully not give me a constant headache.

I know how to use the search button, but I look forward to learning from all of you and hopefully contributing as well.

    Tom
