    Non BMW swaps

Anyone know of/seen/have pics of a 4g63 powered e30? Just curious really. As far as non BMW swaps go, I've seen LS1, 2JZ-GTE, F20(in 318ti) but not much else. What pics do you guys have of non BMW swaps in e30s?

There's a guy on here working on a 4g63 swap, but I don't remember who he is. Any info on the F20 swap, that could be interesting.

        There was one on R3v a few months ago. I think it was a 4g63 with a T56 using a custom bell-housing.

Yeah, that's the one I had looked at on here. That could be a fun swap, but if you're going to the trouble of sourcing a a T56 and all the fab work then why not just go with an LS1 or an LT1?

I'd pick a lighter 4cyl than a 4G63 if it were my project.

My friend Dave here in town has a first-gen RX7 rotary in his E21, it's actually pretty quick.

That's funny that you mentioned a 4G63 in an E30, someone posted a pic a while back of an S14 in an EVO. :D

Thanks for the link. That guy used stock motor mount arms and welded on plates on the end of them to mount the 4g63 to. It looks like a 4g63 would be a fairly inexpensive swap.

There was a guy here with an SR20 and I believe even a CA18 in an E30, I think there was a 4g swap in progress somewhere as well.

Seems like a 12a would be just as fast in an FB as in an E21, seeing as the E21 is most likely the heavier car (or about equal). Even so, that about equates to the power/weight of a Miata... just sayin'. :p

Are SR20's easy to find a rwd trans for? What about reliability/weight/power compared to an F20, 4g63, or 12A/13B?

They are in Japan, with the S13,S14, and S15 being RWD and SR20 powered.

4age would be an interesting swap.
