This is why I hate College Park. No offense, but there's an awful lot of cars that get stolen from nearby campus. I remember hearing about the two Honda's attending a car show there that got stolen DURING the show.

To add insult to injury I just filed my claim with Progressive only to realize that I have Collision and Liability insurance and not Comprehensive. Which astounds me, so I'm not covered. Thankfully I have semi-rich parents so they're gonna loan me some cash to get a new car, biggest issue is I now have to rebuild my entire tool collection. Not to mention the loss of my e36 switches, stereo, US Ellips and HIDs.
I'll have pics up in a few, the only recent ones are on my phone from the snow storm.
Thanks to everyone in the MD/DC/NoVa area, who knows maybe I'll get lucky and find it somewhere!!Comment

The crappy part is my renters insurance won't cover the car since it was parked on the street. And the tools were in the car so they don't count either. I'm fucked 3 ways from Sunday right now. Parents are gonna give me some cash, looks like my dad wants to get me an e36 95 325i. Luckily it's the perfect donor for a swap later!!! So in a couple months when I have a lot more cash I'll be back in an e30!

Do you have renters/home owners insurance? When my GF's car got totaled the sleeze ball tow truck guy looted our camera and laptop as i was following the ambulance to the hospital. I filed a claim with our HOI and they cut us a check for them, all we gave them was a manual for the camera and nothing for the laptop.-Alex

Your HO/REnters will cover some of your personal property not meant to be used in a vehicle, ie, your HomeOwners policy won't cover car parts, but should cover the tools.
There may be extenuating circumstances where the car parts would be covered, like "intended for use, but still uninstalled" etc.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

that sucks dude. sad to hear it. at least it wasn't something really special like a swapped e30.
all that time your family had it, and now its gone.
i always figured you'd cut it up for scrap eventually, now you can't even do that.Originally posted by BillBraskyThat's like Vlad challenging Chip Foose to a car painting contest.2007 CVPI, stock and slowOriginally posted by acolella76i'm pretty sure 'Phillis' is short for syphilis

crackheads/meth addicts don't care, they just need money to get their fix. They'll steal anything they think they can get a few bucks for. my friend had his car broken into and they stole a 10 year old levi's jacket and some change from his ash tray.Comment

Aw, an E36. Well, if they're buying... a DOHC E30 moves pretty well (from my butt dyno and a few minutes seat time in the swap car), although I dunno if I'd gut an E36 in good condition to make one (I'd feel especially bad if it were something someone bought for me).The crappy part is my renters insurance won't cover the car since it was parked on the street. And the tools were in the car so they don't count either. I'm fucked 3 ways from Sunday right now. Parents are gonna give me some cash, looks like my dad wants to get me an e36 95 325i.
