    It finally happened... r3v'd dash.

Temp dropped down to 20 last night, and up to about 50 today. I went out this afternoon to finish installing my sound deadner, and hopefully get my carpet back in only to find this. I wanted to cry.

that's my e30's dash. I could care less though. If it was a daily god knows I would be mad. The 'second dash' is actually a cover -- thin piece of plastic that is an overlay to hide the cracks. Available for sale if someone really wants it. :P

my old car was pretty bad, i think it was from armor-all cleaning it every now and then. i think it begins to NEED the armor all and once you dont keep applying it it cracks. or its just old and is going to happen regardless of armor all or temperature.

sucks either way. crack free dashes are tits.

I would advise against armour all, or any silicone based product. Use aerospace 303 or similar surfactant based product with UV protectant. Silicone oils make the polymer swell and shrink.

on a side note.... i was using 303 aerospace protectant every 4-6 months.
