Well it's been around 45 during the day. It just hasnt gone over 60 in ten days which has broken the record by three days, which was seven set back in 54.

It's a different ball game, you northerners sweat your sacks off down here when I think it's nice out, and I freeze my webbos off when it drops below 65.

luckily for me, I dont see many rusty cars around here, but have read that that job can be a pain in the yazoo when rusted

but I also agree with the idea of maybe you ca nfind a garage to rent for a day.

a few weeks ago I needed to work on a friends car but no place to do it out of the rain, so the local self store let me rent a drive in space for a weekend for $20 bucks

I think your best bet would be to buy a rear subframe and get it cleaned up with bushings all pressed in, drop the old, unmount and remount the TA's and diff and put it all back together. Its a pita but it really isnt that bad to drop it.

I paid a shop $500 to do my trailing arm and subframe bushings. That definitely hurt my wallet...

You live in Florida? Just wait till next week to put them in when the temps go back up or wear a sweater. Half the guys on here do a ton of shit on their cars, including me, in snow and sub freezing temps.

You better be doing trailing arm bushings also its a waist of time if you don't.

Oh absolutely. If I get it done at a shop they will definitely be replaced. Probably with some offset bushings to get some of this camber out of the rear.

Just so you know, this will not be a 1 day project. I started my project around December 10th, and didnt finish untill January 5th!! I didnt work on it every day, or for many hours, but i had to deal with alot of stuck bolts, rusty brake lines that woudlnt budge, and had to figure out a way to slam the stuck subframe bushing from the car. Im not a noob to working on E30s either, but this was my first subframe removal. I could do it again in maybe 3 days. It takes a long time to get everything lined up when you are putting the whole thing back in the car. I took mine out as 1 piece, and put it back in as 1 also. I had 2 friends over to help me reposition it. You will never be able to do it alone.

It's been colder here at night than in new york and the other night than in alaska. So... It's at around 45 during the day. But it is going to get a lot warmer here soon.

This is another reason I will most likely take it to a shop I don't have the time to let the car sit for that long. I need to get to school somehow. And this is my only means of transportation.

I also have to get these front coils on the damn car. Thankfully my buddy has a welder and is willing to weld the perch on the strut for me.

Well me and my pops said fuck it, will be tackling this over a 3 day weekend. At least the money I saved will allow me to get trailing arm bushings, cabs, and shocks. Awesome.

I went with Ireland Engineering, but I have heard about quality problems although I have had none. Either AKG or BMW.

AKG it is, they have a killer deal on poly 75d bushings for the RTAB's, Diff mount bushing, and subframe bushings for 240 bucks. I believe it also includes the trailing arm bushing removal and install tool.
