Unless the factory mid-section is replaced with something like the UUC Rasp-X, they all sound like crap thanks to that tin-can drone in the mid-to-upper revs.

With the Rasp-X in place, my vote goes to the Eisenmann system. Sounds good.

Shit, $950 could go to many better things than eliminating the raspy tone from your exhaust.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

And? $950 is nothing compared to $10,000 exhaust. Straight baller.

Why does the stock M3 sound so raspy? Piping material or just not enough resonators?

I don't know what the hell it is, btu I heard an E46 ///M3 with magnaflow muffler, and it sounded like a badly tuned civic. Seriously.....search th emagnaflow site. It's all high pitched. So ugly.

agreed. not to my taste at all.
maybe they were going for that F1 sound.

I'd rather have the stock rasp over a lot of the alternatives. I couldn't find a sound I liked more than the stock one.
