Anyone here ever torn lateral meniscus?

    I tore mine. I played soccer (futbol), and I had to get surgery. It will be weaker and you should take care of it even after the surgery heals because what they do is scrape away the torn and frayed area and smooth it all out, but from then on you have less there to do its function. Mine still hurts every now and then, but then again, I gained lots of weight since then due to inactivity and the drink. You should definitely get it repaired even if you dont plan on doing sports anymore. It hurt like hell when mine finally just said "no more". Until that point, my knee would always get swollen from the inside every time I played.

      There's always total knee-replacement. ;) Actually kinda cool, but it only lasts for about 25 years until you need another one.
