Holy crap that Renault is UUUUGGGGLLLLYYYYY!!!!!!!!
And the "BMW-Sauber" looks like last year's Braun - all black and white, waiting for a sponsor. I think that must be why they have not applied to drop the BMW from the name - they are waiting for a sponsor and want to make only one request to change the name.
Will USF1 or Campos make the grid in Bahrain? At all?Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment

The teams that ran the double diffusers first last year were (Brawn, Williams and Toyota) the three teams that were not present at the FOTA meeting where the other teams agreed not to interpret the rules a certain way and to run with traditional diffusers as it was in line with 'the spirit of the rules' - with the intention of increasing overtaking, by reducing the wake behind the cars.I think last year was a complete mockery of the rules...... The only teams that could afford to interpret the rules the way they did were teams with nothing to lose if they were dq'd like a small brawn and redbull team. The larger factory teams could never take the risk of having their cars dq'd because of rules violations..... The apperant lack of consistancy of rules and stewards in F1 can be vey fustrating.
And google 'double diffuser' and you get a million results saying that the FIA and the Technical Working Group have just voted to ban them in 2011.Last edited by 323iNathan; 01-31-2010, 02:18 PM.

Testing images are up. Cool to see the different ideas for diffusers. McMerc has a crazy design, the fin is also a vent stack for the engine [as they claim] but it has got to have something to do with the diffuser.

I am betting 3sec stops this year. How the car uses soft tires will play a large role this year with the teams that are able to use them gently being able to go farther on them. I would gues most teams will opt for the harder compound to start with and a short late stint on light fuel load for the option tires..... Too bad no more drama of ferrari letting their cars go with the fuel rig this year, I wonder if they will use a lollipop or the light system now.Comment

Don't forget when McLaren let Heikki go with the fuel rig in Brazil and he set Kimi (briefly) on fire, they didn't have the light system to blame either...I am betting 3sec stops this year. I don't think the lights or lollipop will make much of a difference, I'm not sure if there will even be a lollipop guy this year. It will come down to how quickly the the jackman can get out of the way, cause as soon as the tyres are changed he'll drop the car and the driver will go.
