    m10

So when I bought my 318i I had no idea the m10 was a pile of shit. I wish I had though cause that fucker gave me nothing but problems. ideal candidate for a motor swap but no good for anything else. Just needed a place to vent lol

Same here. Car was great but no power . In a funny way the m10 made the m50 swap a easy choice, if I had the 6 in there, then I would have to wrestle with the ( is the swap worth it for 20 hp? / Is the car worth dropping $$$ into).

John at Global BMW has a Henna 318 and is building out an M10 with side drafts.. It is going to be AMAZING. You'll see it once you get your piece of work out and about.

Stock M10s are slow but they are not junk. Very solid motors. IMO they have better power porential than m20s.

put an M10 into a 300-lb tube frame go-kart, and then tell me it has no power.

                    ;)

This is true. It is very slow, but it takes care of the daily driving duties fine and it is a very solid motor. Of course the only way to go is up with one but they are very strong. Ran one for three months with the temp on red and had no side effects whatsoever. Still runs like a champ.

As a dd it was a great motor. Economical and consistent. And I agree it much more receptive to boost than the m20 but turbo is expensive and I'm broke lol so a chipped m20 is what I'm doing and I know I'll be much happier

So, im not sure if anyone else has driven a euro m10, or even if there is a diffrence between, the american m10 and the euro.

But i have driven both, and my euro felt amazing compared to it. It felt much more powerful, had no problem winding up to 6 grand, and actually felt quick; compared to the american m10, which well seem like shit.
