not sure about the euro m10 but I had the american and it was a pile of shit. wouldn't mind looking in to that though.

The m10 in my 2002 is plenty fast. Weber 38/38, longtube headers, cam, high comp pistons and 2" madrel bent exhaust. Still haven't even dialed in the carb yet but it gets up and goes pretty good.
I'm sure in a 318i it will be much slower with the additional weight.
You could always buy my ITB setup for the m10! That will make it more exciting!

i think people that slam m10s really have not been around them....i have owned one since 1986 and love the gd thing! i can pull the head in 2hrs. i can set the timing with my eyes closed. not a whole lot to go wrong with them. i can pull the whole engine in a day. (and trust i have done it ,any many times over the years) i just got ( about 2yrs ago) got an 318i w an m10. i can say i hate the fuel injection and all the blanking senors that go with it...but w a kn and a strait pipe i have taken a scion and two civics... i think you just got to know them to love them....bimmerboltsandparts.com
