ATTN fellow BMW owners who are cheap like me and want a Mac

Alright people, I'm cheap and broke, but it's not hard to find cheap stuff if you know your way around the internet. How many of you are fatwallet users? :)

If you want a Apple Mac Mini, this IS a way to get one for no money, but don't be fooled because it's not free because it will cost you some time and probably some of your friends ;) I'm not a big fan of these get your free ipod/xbox/whatever sites because you have to ask your friends to help you.. BUT, if you are worried that they are scammers/spammers: the free ipod site and the free Mac mini site are all owned by the same parent company - Gratis Networks www.gratisnetwork.com, which has been around for a few years. I got a free Xbox system from them last year through www.freevideogames.com (also owned by Gratis) through a program that didn't require any referrals, and from what I've read, people have been getting their free ipods as well so this Mac Mini offer is almost guaranteed to be legit. When I researched this last year, the way they make money is that for every person that signs for an offer, they receive $50-$75 for it from the associated company. Pretty good profit for them.

So now they have a free Mac Mini pyramid-type scheme. Get 10 people to sign up for any ONE of their offers and you get a free mac mini computer (worth $500 http://www.apple.com/macmini)

For the sake of experimentation, who wants to see if this works as well? Sign up through me

freeminimacs.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, freeminimacs.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

I signed up for the eFax deal. Free for 30 days, and you can cancel at any time. No cost and no real risk. I'll edit my post when I got 10 referrals so others can benefit. Good luck trying to get even 3 of your friends to sign up for this... :)

So, they've replaced ipods in the pyramid scheme with mini-macs?

Is this the sort of crowd that apple goes after, suckers?

It's not Apple, it's Gratis Networks. They're just offering an incentive to "opt in" they know people will want. I tried to scam them last year for a free ipod but they caught on to my fakes. Make no mistake, they're just another marketing company trying to gather personal info on people to sell for a tidy profit (if you don't get all your referrals).

        Hmm.

I guess having things like "a job" and "a life" have prevented me from ever looking in to stupid schemes like this.

How do you make money off the internet?

I agree that they must be raking it in pretty good. Most people don't get all ten referrals for their free item, so that is all money down their pocket. What I don't get is how it's possible that the cost of aquiring a signed customer is so high that these companies are willing to offer that much money just to get someone to sign on for a trial.

Me? A lot of different ways. Our main product is a video chat platform that we built a subscription dating/social networking site around. Plus we do a lot of traditional online marketing for our own sites and for similar companies.

Gratis makes money every time somebody signs up for an offer, which can range anywhere from a few cents to $50 per legit signup, depending on the offer. Plus you have to give Gratis at least your name and email to get started, which they probably turn around and sell to someone else (one of their "partners"), possibly several times over.

Granted, they probably lose money for every prize they ship, but it's all carefully calculated so that they come out ahead. Ironically the closer you get to completing your referrals, the more money they make. It's called viral marketing. All they have to do is plant the seed and people (like us right now) do the marketing for them.

Hmm... people at work just got theirs already (ordered from apple store). That thing is TINY.. funny thing is, the power supply brick is like 5x larger than normal. HAHHAAH.. looks like they stuffed the power supply into the power adapter!

Now if only there was a freeE30.com site...............mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
