Buddy owns a wheel refinishing place, so I am going to ask him, just thought I would ask here first. After looking into a bit more looks like ceramaic is the way to go. But, I've also read that there are some powders that are good up to 1500 degrees. So we'll see...
Anyone know if those are the studs I need?

If you are trying to refinish stock exhaust manifolds to make them look nice, use high temp exhaust paint. You can buy it in several different colors, including a bare steel or iron "look", available all over the place, but for online Eastwood came to mind first.Leave a comment:

I'd highly suggest NOT powdercoating exhaust components, especially headers and manifolds. If you want them coated, send them off to be ceramic coated. Powdercoat is baked on and flows almost as a liquid (so it's smooth on the piece like paint..) at a much lower temperature than what exhaust components reach.Leave a comment:

I think its fine to do so, I hate the rust look myself...Like I said it will turn the tiniest shade lighter cause of all the heat constantly going through it.
Its already baked on there hotter then your exhaust gets any way I assume...Leave a comment:

My dads motor cycle has powder coated manifold down pipes etc
id you do it black it will get ever so slightly lighter but its safe. I powder coated intake and mani as well

Exhaust work...Powder Coat exhaust manifold?
Would it be safe to powder coat/high temp paint the exhaust manifolds? They are a bit rusty looking right now and want to clean them up...
Also, is #18 what I need for the exhaust studs? Mine came out with the nuts because they were seized together...
