Im thinking that as cool as red is, that you need a different color. Would be really confusing for everybody on the road and the coppers would not be too happy.

I'm still considering wiring them up independently from the parking lights, but I want to keep the tail lights on too. Maybe a set of LEDs in the tails, using the rear corner lights? It's definitely a hard parking mod, but I'm a hard parker/photo/meet whore so I'll be using them. Another option I thought of today is wiring them up to a remote starter/alarm if I install one.

As for using them while driving, it's not really an option except very occasionally for shits and giggles. They don't really output any light.

No, not really. You got slammed because blue side markers are gay, and way way way overplayed. This is somewhat different and not so common....yet.

I think the demon eyes need to fade in and out like it's alive and pulsing or something - that's what I would do. It need more sex.

Been there, done that. Running 20 watt clears in my '89. They look good when running parking lights.
