I have to agree with Charlie on this one. I keep getting my hopes up with any new browser and I give it an honest shot but it always disapoints me. There is nothing out there that can work on the majority of pages with the consistancy of IE.

Here's an idea, sell the PC, buy a $499 Mac mini and use Safari or Firefox. No spyware, almost no viruses and no Bill Gates.

Yea, well for me I don't give a rats ass what name is on my browser. I just want it to work. You are right, reinstaling everything is the best way to go. But for me that would take 10 hours to re-configure my workstation (I do video and film editing for a living)

I do keep a copy of IE around just incase...

Finnaly someone else who agree's with me, get Avant. It's a sub-version of IE. Without all the poopy bugs, and some new features.

You do realize that Microsoft owns a large share of apple, right?

Every mac in our department runs IE and Office X. Safari is garbage too.

It's true, Firefox is starting to beat IE statistics wise, it's just a much safer browser to use.

Until it reaches more than a blip on the overall usage radar. Then the malware sites will have just as many exploits for it as they do IE.
