If you lived in cold climate, everytime the temp would reach zero Farenheit, it is insurance you get a few e46, e39 2.8 or X3s coming in with hydrolocked motors, thanks to a frozen oil vapor separator... Good job to Hans at BMW, who designed that part... They give jobs to independents...

it was pretty easy getting it apart, i used a dremel with a cutting wheel on the fracture bolts
