    Cool e-article on Strictly German...

Speedhunters is an international collective of photographers, writers & drivers with a shared passion for uncovering the world's most exciting car culture stories.

For those out of the loop, Strictly German is essentially a giant BMW junkyard that contains many non-junk parts and parts cars. The guy who owns it is a cool cat and there are always deals to be had when there are races going on at the nearby Road Atlanta course and the owner has had a few beers. For those who know of Bobby and SG, this is a pretty accurate description and defintiely a cool read.

If anyone on the East Coast needs parts for 70's, 80's, and 90's BMW's, these guys probably have what you're looking for.

Have used Bobby many times. He is a never ending resource of parts and knowledge. We here in Atlanta are very lucky to have a person (company) so involved with keeping our breed alive.

I think that might be the one THR sold 5-6 years back.
They also made bobby look like a freak. I know that's what they are going for, but damn.

There's a boneyard like that for VW's here, it's about 20 miles east of town. Just a total graveyard of aircooled Busses and Beetles, shitloads of MkI and MkII's, engines, transmissions, frames, body panels, everything. It's a pretty epic collection, and it will probably just rot there forever. Kind of sad, but kind of amazing at the same time.

I noticed the same thing, they bumped the contrast up like they were taking stance pictures and made him look like an aged Indian, no offense to our senior Native American members, but see...

I was surprised by those E9 "CSL" doors though, seeing as all 3.0/3.2 CSL's had aluminum doors. More than likely just some factory-ordered pinstripe on an E9.

Well that just means the Vortexers will get to it next week then. :D

Cool, but at the same time, quite a waste.

I've dropped by there a few times when I was in Georgia. Thrash is a cool guy and so far the only shop I had work on my car.

Anyone know the story behind the place burning down some time ago?
