Juan Pable Montoya will leave Williams BMW for the 2005 season. He will join up with McLareb Mercedes and probably take David Coulthard's place. Why couldn't Williams pay him as much as they pay Ralf? Idiots...

Welcome to 3 weeks ago.
JPM apparently isn't popular with the rest of the williams staff, and has a reputation for being difficult to work with. I think it will be interesting to see who gets the seat. The JV rumors are still abounding, I'd love to see that.

Regardless of what anyone thinks including me ( i don't car for the blessed boy myself) Schumi is the shit. And the history books show the evidence. We all have our opinions but you can't raise a "bs" flag to recorded history. That would be like saying the Japs won WWII. You can't whine about him being with the best team or any other excuse because if your favoried was the best he would be on the best team/car/sponsor.

I'm sure there are many here who support the Williams/BMW F1 effort because of brand loyalty....perhaps other reasons as well. Personally, I'm glad to see JPM making the move to the McLaren/Mercedes camp. Its not that I have something against Frank Williams and company, its just that JPM has been waaay underpaid for the kind of results he is producing.
I mean can you blame the guy??? Juan is looking out for Juan....he's got to make what he can now cause he won't be an F1 driver forever. If you were in his position, I'm sure you would do the same. The McLaren/Mercedes effort is definately a step up organization-wise for JPM. They are a team with the vast resources and good management that makes them a very competitive team. I think JPM and Kimi will kick some ass in 2005.

JPM is a terrific talent. Many people criticize his driving style, but i think that his more aggressive approach is something F1 needs. He's stirred the pot, but it is true his aggression has led to some incidents, and consistancy is key as Kimi proved in '03. His style may leave him championshipless at the end of his career, while i bet Kimi wins it in '04- especially with the wild aero on the MP4/19.
His move to McLaren is probably a smart one, McLaren has much better track record and is really the better team in my opinion. I'd go to McLaren too if i was in his position. Ralf is lucky to still be around.. he's never really had it, and his attitude is the one that's annoying. JPM has consistantly proved himself the better of the pack.
Schumi is clearly the greatest, no beef there- he's the best. But so is Ferrari.
I got into F1 back in '98 with Hakkinen's insane smoothness and have been a West fan forever, though i clearly pulled for BMW once they entered the ring. However, McLaren is quickly becoming my favorite and i vote Kimi as driver of the year in '03 - all in an '02 chassis!Current: Brilliantrot '91 318is M20B25
