Ya definitely just change it. Should be the first thing you do when you get a new m20 car anyways. Takes an hour or two and takes some weight off your shoulders.
Is there a way to check the condition of my timing belt?

The job may sound intimidating, but it's so straightforward that you'll be able to do it in half the time next time around. I used this link for reference when I did mine:

The bentley explains it damn well, just make sure you have a wrench big enough to take off the fan. That was my problem, stalled me for a little bit.The job may sound intimidating, but it's so straightforward that you'll be able to do it in half the time next time around. Yeah, I got that link up there bookmarked, and have the Bentley manual in my posesion, I am a picture guy, but I think its a matter of just getting in there.
Can't wait till it's done, the weight will be off my shoulders for sure. Then to tackle the high speed shaking on the front end.
I've been super nervous but excited every time I drive my car, hoping the belt won't snap off. But love driving the car.........agghhComment
