Well Richard, It looks like this thread got some attention. :) An like some have said, word of mouth will get you far but you gotta shop it. Goto all the BMW forums, even SW.

Bolt on spacer? ...yeah, that wouldn't work.

I don't think a hundred bucks is a bad price. Especially since it's a factory stamped part. If you're dumb enough to drive with those $50 ones that Jethro welded in his garage, then you're probably not worried about the risk.

Obviously they're meant to install AFTER you've lowered the car. To get that extra bit of drop.

You need a sales pitch too. I know there are a ton of us out there that wish our front end was just a bit lower... especially the guys with the IE springs.

      Just a thought.

I was going to buy some until I blew $300 on strippers and beer last Tuesday. Black-out FTL.

While it's obviously not the most quality controlled environment, there is nothing wrong with welding the perches to make them bigger. The load on the hat is, in the scheme of material strength, not even close to a failure point. As long as the weld was halfway decent it'd probably never break. Just saying.

AS far as a "spacer"... you might be able to bolt something on, but you'd have to drill holes in the flat part of the hat, as well as enlarge the center hole.

not all are primarily e30 sites, but getting the word everywhere is good because lots of them own e30s etc.

If you had a ready supply of scrap, yes, I bet you could. You'd be working for wages less than Jethro, though. Those would have to be rather large chunks of aluminum.

The reason i cant do the group buy and i cant do it cheaper is because of the shipping that i pay to get them to me. If i had enough money to buy 50 at a time id probably be able to do it. I can only afford 15 at a time. Not enough for a good price break. Id have to do a group buy of 35 lol and thats nevr gona happen.then i could do it cheaper. So until im loaded the price is gona hafta stay.
