Good thing you had that painter's tape on the valence, bro.

      ZING!! (too soon?)

Seriously though, I'm sorry to see this. Always admired your car.

fix the hood and drivers window and drive that bitch the way it is! be proud you actually drive you car to the limit. hah but seriously i would swap over to a new shell. Even if a body shop can fix that, it will never be what i was.

I was thinking the same thing, not a scratch on the valence/tape. But really, get another shell. Less hassle than to fix it, then realize it looks like shit, then beat yourself up, then swap everything over. Skip the hassle.

Man, your car was awesome and the color sets it apart. I would say fix it up if it weren't for the kink in the roof that caused the glass to break, but it doesn't look like something that would be too easy to fix. Was there any other frame damage apart from that? It looks like the radiator support has collapsed some on the driver's side.

:( That really sucks dude, I'm sorry to hear that--one of the things I'm a bit worried about re: track days, no insurance coverage even.

Be glad you're alright. You'll figure out what to do about the car.

Glad you are ok. I put my E30 into an armco barrier last season. I ended up buying another shell and swapping everything over. Its a long and tiring process. Be patient finding your replacement. I was not and now am paying for it. Keep everything you can, you will be amazed when you need a bolt here, nut there, etc etc.
Oh, also...and I know its hard...try not to second guess it and replay it in your head. You have to move on however hard it might be. I spent too many nights replaying it in my head and watching the video. It's not worth it.
Once again, very glad you are ok.

Thank you. I appreciate your relation and advice. I keep replaying it in my head, things I could have done, maybe if I was slower, maybe if I didnt go at all, it just makes everything worse like you said. What werent you patient with? finding a better quality e30?

One. im just happy that the motor was not trashed. My m20 has been the most reliable part on the car and when I get a new shell and/or motor, my motor will definately be going in. But for the future reference, no parts are for sale. My love with e30's will continueeeee

Yeah even if the damage was fixable it would be expensive. I say go for a new shell. Sorry to hear about it though
