custom gauges for E30..........whaddya think?

The concept is there, but the execution is not. I like the idea of having guages like that, but it is too buisy and would clash. Im thinking that if you more closely replicated the stock color and simplified the design then it would be pretty cool. Personally, I think the light behind the oem cluster is kinda weak (perhaps I need to change some bulbs) and looks more like a dirty pinkish orange than red. Idk if its just my car lol, but I think that with some work this could be pretty cool. And with the lights off, the guage looks like somthing you could find in an old 2002tii or somthing. Kinda has a 70's ish feel. R3V really needs to lighten up and see the potential in things rather than instantly writing them off.

Someone needs to make a reproduction of the stock speedo face, without all of the KPH markers. I love the euro ones that have only the KPH markers, they're so much cleaner looking, I just want one of the opposite.

why do you care what other people think when its your car?

i think the chrome rings are not very good looking. where else on the interior of the e30 do you have chrome trim? its very out of place. maybe on early model e30s with the chrome diving boards and then it still needs something on the interior to tie the two together.

The chrome rings tie nicely with my sunroof crank.

I agree with Kershaw, It is your car, Do what makes you happy, You have your taste and others have theirs. If everyone thought the same way then tuning would be boring.

the beauty of red is our eyes will not fatigue.

Blue light helps you stay awake. It might be more harsh on the eye but i would rather stay awake when im driving.
