Is there a way to open up these checklights? I wanna take out the bulb or somehow make it so my check light doesnt come on for my windshield washer fluid...considering i TOOK it out..i know theres no in it...dont need that idiot light. Another thing is my break lights are working just fine...all of them...but for some reason my brake light idiot light comes on randomly....i do have a 2000w 12" sub...could it just be shorting or something...when the light comes on i have NEVER seen that my brakes arent working. And ive made sure all bulbs and everything is snugly in.

sounds like he is talking about the check panel. I'd also love to be able to deactivate some parts of the check panel like the brake lights because Im not going to spend my time chasing that fix when my brake lights work just fine. and yes i used bmw bulbs and cleaned the bulb connections.www.blunttech.comOriginally posted by b3albakiithe head was okey .. and in a good mood
no i didnt over heat it so muchComment

I think you may be developing chassis / harness ground point issues. Also, just short out your washer level sender if you want it to be off.
I think you should fix your shit, instead of defeating the "hey driver, your shit's broke" system.

brake light light...that was a pain in the ass in my old e30 everything was new:bulbs, sensors, and still got that light but i think it has to do with the sensor on the brake pedal theres a sensor there???
cause mine stopped doing that after i changed the little component that makes the lights light up...you know the little plastic thing that pushes against the pedal when you press it on and release it...i dont know what its called but i changed most of the stuff there and the light dissapearedComment

Theres nothing to fix for my washer fluid...because i deleted it...so might as well delete the light....and for the brake light...i want to FIX it...
and that little clicker thing on the pedal...i know exactly what your talking about...mine went bad a while back...and i replaced it...so i doubt its that. (my brake lights were on all the time unless i lifted the pedal up.) heh.(SOLD) 1988 327i Build Thread: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=155086

How to fix the brake light warning on the check panel has been written up many times.
Simply; clean the diode pack and tail light housing connections.Comment

Yes to short means to connect two electrical connections. An open means there is no connection. When you connect the leads on each side of the washer bottle sensor it will "fool" the check panel into "thinking" that the fluid is always full. So the check panel light stays off.
