Help me pick a headunit: BMW CD43 / Nakamichi CD400 / Jensen JHD3510

i know this isn't period correct, but i think my search is over: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 ($300)

the look is very clean, with a rectilinear design with one circular volume knob.
i could do without the kenwood logo on the vol knob and the chrome middle strip, but it isn't horrible. even the text display looks clean and understated. It's got all the features I want (Bluetooth, MP3, iPod, USB, Aux, A2DP), and it's Sirius and HD Radio capable with optional accessories ($100 ea).

Excellent choice. I guess I can sort of see why you would want everything to be more square, but either way the newer kenwoods are way user friendly, have awesome sound features and some great convenience features. I run Excelon in both my vehicles.

still dont like simply because the front fash isnt flush with the dash.

why must aftermarket head unit manufactures insist on making their units stick 1" out of the dash?? the radio is not the most important thing in my car, and i dont want it attracting attention. flush mount radio is the #1 thing to make a head unit more OEM.

i have the CD400. i love it. the quality of sound that comes out of it is leaps and bounds better than anything i've used before. i love the AUX input too.

This is on my list. I have had a few Excelon's and have always loved them. This has the parrot hands free built in, High volt output. Good stuff. You don't put period correct oil in you car. Get some thing cool.
