    will my baby make it?

So on an unknown short notice, i will be driving my e30 on a 600 mile round trip this weekend.

Everyone send me and it positive mental vibes!!

and if anyone between greensboro and morganton, nc is willing to help if something breaks... please let me know now.

Is there anything wrong with your car for you to be thinking that?

EDIT:If you take care of your car, I don't see why you wouldn't make it. I took a 700+ miles (12+ hrs of driving nonstop, except for gas) one way trip down to ATL at the beginning of Jan with a very slight leak of oil at my lower timing cover, and my car is is over 220k miles

I just did my first long-ish trip in my car as well - 4 hours! You can do it! So long as your maintenance is up to par.

im going to the mountains though.

ITs going to love it. ive driven it further before and it loved that. now its got new tires and an alignment..

only thing ive been worrying about is my diff thats been making a little more noise lately, and my valves making more noise lately.

          hopefully nothing else comes up.

check the diff fluid before heading out. You don't want that shit locking up on the highway... ask me how I know. I think there is still a brown stain on the seat.

e30s are notorious for making long uneventful trips. (unless you want to have a little fun!) your car has 20+ years of these kinds of trip! you gotta be positive and not listen to all the squeaks and groans, GL!

Unless your car is giving you some bad warning signs, I wouldn't worry about it...just think, that's only about 2 tanks of gas. How many times have you burnt through 2 tanks of gas doing short trips (which put more wear on the car) without any trouble?

If you drive your e30 on stairs, you're gonna have a bad time.

I drove my eta from NJ to CA over five days with absolutely zero problems that weren't my fault. These cars are bulletproof, I wouldn't worry about it (unless you haven't been maintaining it).

nice guys! those are some serious trips. ive been putting all i can into it lately.

only thing i worry about are the possibly icy/ snowy/ muddy/ washed-out gravel roads that are NC forest service roads.

i shouldnt see anything too bad.

thanks again for the inspiration, maybe ill come back with some sweet mountain pics of the e30.
