Just an FYI for you guys.

C++ is pretty terrible. Just letting you guys know.
You think you have a grasp on it, and then WHAM, you dont.

I didn't think basic C++ was hard (high school class), but then again I had the benefit of a mathematical/logical mind.

I wanted to become some sort of computer programmer when I grow up. Thats about a year ago. After taking a course in it and finding out more about the outsourcing I said screw it. Indians making less than our jainitors do for programming. :x

Yet another reason I avoid programming at all costs.

I know some developers making bank straight out of college.

Programming is either something you have the mind for or you don't. Not intended to be a diss though Rob - everybody gets stuck here and there.

Oh I know I suck at it. However, its a requirement for Comp Sci here at school. Its my last "basic" class before I go to my specialty.
Anyways, I am tired and have a migraine. Off to bed :)

I taught myself Perl, that was enough for me.. spending 10 hours a day in front of a monitor doesn't seem like much fun to me.

Hell I had to take 2 semesters of COBOL. Not hard, but what the hell am I going to do with an advanced knowlege of COBOL??

                        Anyone need any reports?

It's a lot harder to outsource onsite stuff, 9/11 really killed the H1b influx of a few years ago.

No kidding. My job is very secure, they HAVE to have me onsite to keep things up and running on a daily basis.
