So I am looking at something smaller for my parents garage... I'll upgrade to a 240v system when I move into my own. I talked to a friend and he said the 33gal craftsman works for him and does a good enough job.

So my question now is whats the difference between craftsman profession and the non-professional one?

Yes it has to run almost continuously but it is designed to.

I got it at an IR store for 269.00 last year and actually just came in from using it.
yeah those are great for light work, Finnish air nailer, staple gun, framing nailer, shit like that. A good efficient impact is about the biggest draw I would want to put on it.

Hmmm. That is good to know. It's funny how long I've worked in a shop and I know nothing about compressors lol.

if your gonna use an impact a lot or a DA sander air drill, or other high CFM tools

YES YOU NEED THE volume. The volume keeps your compressor from 100% duty cycles to try and keep up with multiple tools or high volume tools and gives it time to rest and cool. You will need to invest in a high quality air dyer too.

Oh what ever you do dont get a oilless 110v they are junk and really loud. You need something with that has oil lubed compressor.

For reference, my brother is running that compressor with a his old 80gal tank from his H.F. crappo one that took a shit as a secondary reserve tank. it lets him do anything whit out the compressor running it self to death

    Lets talk air compressors...

I got a small garage. I just need to get an air compressor. I'm used to having a HUGE compressor to run my tools because I used to be at a shop that required my own tools. Now since I have all these tools at my house, I need to get some air to them.

What would be a good size air compressor to run my tools? I need to know the HP and the gallons I should get. I'm completely stuck on this now. Thanks.
