I will be starting a new project to dress my engine bay was wondering what has been done to adress the ugly rusty exhaust manifolds. I will be putting on a powder coated valve cover and intake manifold along with new wires and exhaust manifold gaskets. i will also be detailing the hell out of the engine bay and should have just about everything addressed except for the exhaust manifolds. I was thinking about ceramic coating them but i have heard that is expensive. I have ran across POR 20 which is good up to 1400 degrees and comes in aluminum and grey. They also have a black which is good up to 1200 degrees. Has anyone used these products? Are there other products on the market that can be used?

it depends on how big your manifolds are, a stock manifold will be about $160ish, mid length headers $180, long tubes $200+
the best part is, shut your car off hot, 5 minutes later you can touch the headers with your bare hands. Still hot, but try that without ceramic coating and you'll have a 3rd degree burn!

the car is an auto so headers are not easy to come by and this is really just an appearance thing not meant for performance. I would agree it is pricey but if i am going to dress the rest of the bay another 160 to get rid of the ugly rusty manifolds will be worth it.
