Yep, they did 2 different oil change intervals for 200,000 miles and tore both down...same wear (none, basically) on either!

I bet they were taking it real easy on the car, they would want the car to make it to 1M, so the company can promote and sell its product. If they rev'd the shit out of the motor and ran it real hard, and if failed short of 1M, it would be more difficult for them to promote their oil.

Doing every recommended maintenance that BMW specifies and running mobile one is fucking epic. That just shows BMW's quality back in the day. You do the maintenance and the car will last forever.
