In Portland I have full coverage for $130,(90 325is) my younger brother with the same record would have been $95.(91 318is) Obviously a faster motor will result in higher premiums.

Depending on what I end up with in the next few months job-wise, I might just bump the 'is down to liability for as little street usage as it sees anymore.

Of course, then I get to see what insurance is on one of these:

        cheap/cheap

really how much could it be? book value is so low, you only need liability, and many states/companies don't have different rates for different cars when you only have liability (it's insuring everyone elses car, not yours).

Statefarm does it on the number of cylinders.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

                  omgf.

                  How old are you guys?

I'm 17, and my mother (thank god) is paying $1500/6 months for almost full coverage, and I'm on the insurance's "good grades" plan too! I'm also under my mom's name, she's had no accidents or tickets, and she's 46 years old! Not just all this, but my car is also registered as a pleasure/weekend car! (I attend a boarding school)

My friend Paul, who will be turning 19 soon is paying $942/6 months for BASIC LIABILITY, and he too, is under his dad's name, which is almost flawless!

Is this because we live in California? I mean, WTF!

320 for 6 months, minimum liability. Perfect driving record for 6 years (I'm 22 now).
I retired my E30 for now...

Arizona also has high rates. AAA here, but having a sibling that has incrased everyone's insurance for the family doesn't help.

All I got is liability, still expensive as hell. Only ticket I went to driving school for (to insurance I have 0)

Farmers goes by the year. I called and a 91 318is would cost more than an older 325is. BTW, I'm 17 with an accident and my cabrio insurance is a bit over $1000 /6 months ...and its about full coverage. I think Cali just costs more.
