    Apparently I am a criminal

    So i get home today and i get a nice letter from the DOL stating that my drivers license is being revoked for 365 days because i was convicted for attempting to elude police in Whatcom Co. on 11/30/2009......
    Unbenownced to me i was at work that day in Seattle. I have no clue how my drivers license got mixed up in this. I have never even been to Whatcom County in my existence. This is going to be a fun mess to clean up however i will go after the person who did this for ID theft. Bad thing for the thief is that i have tons of connections with law enforcement......

    I'll keep you updated on what happens....

                                  That sucks! I would imagine if you can prove you weren't even in that county it shouldn't be terribly difficult to fix, but I have never dealt with anything like that.

                                  So do you know if it was a clerical error, or if someone has actually stolen your identity?

                                  Good luck sorting that out.

                                      I checked the Washington Court Public records for my name and found no suchs entries/convictions so i think it was another error by the DOL

                                          Should be pretty easy to reverse that since you said you were at work. Something as simple as a time sheet or your boss writing a letter stating your presence at work that date/time.

                                                      Things like this are kind of scary 'cause you never know what the outcome will be. I went 11 years with a warrant on my DL, it finally caught up to me 2 years ago., went to jail paid court fees and all because someone made a mistake in the system.

                                                      The sooner you take care of it the better off you'll be.
