If the rear end of a Z28 is similar in dimensions to a 6spd LT1 Trans Am rear end, they're not exactly bullet proof . . . ask me how I know

Anyone ever look at my buddies 335is? The m30 is a scale tipper and definately out weighs the s62. Having that said, even though the big six holds the weight further back, there was never a handling issue with his car. that thing stuck to the road.

50/50 balance is bullshit anyway. they are weighed and called 50/50 at rest; when you have positive acceleration the distribution goes more toward the rear, no brainer. well the same thing happens when you lay into the gas at the apex of a corner. the balance goes more to the rear and outside. So if your static distribution is say 60/40 (front/rear) then you could safely say under acceleration the car actually is closer to 40/60. on the same note, if you have static 50/50 you probably get more toward 30/70 under acceleration.

Considering the shitty design of semitrailing arm suspension that was used on almost every German car in the 80s (and even the z3) I would not put too much thought into improving rear traction. there is only so much you can do.

Hey, and there is no way the guy spent the awesome amount of money and time on the front end of that car to not think about wider tires!!
