I guess that would be me. Im over the big engine weighing down the front of a little car thing. Does nobody care about balance? Making power is the easy part.

Its 90 pounds heavier. Thats it.

Stripped out e30's should handle like shit according to your philosophy.
Its all about the overall weight, you can deal the "handling loss" via other methods.
90 pounds is ~3% of the overall cars weight.
So no, I for one dont care.

well victell has a point. look how far forward the engine is set over the front wheels. it might be somewhat detrimental. but who gives a fuck. that guy had balls to pull that off, and i for one give him MaD pRoPs Yo.

True. I may have assumed too quick. Is the s62 similar in weight to m50/s50? Not too bad..

Just damn. That must have taken so much work and it looks very close to factory.

seeing how it has more than 3x as much power as most of the E30s around here, I don't really see how that matters at all. you can cry balance all you want, but he'd still kick your ass on any track, curved or straight.

Nobody's crying, Jack. If I wanted speed that would kill e30s on a track, I would build another Iroc. Balance is what I want. Hence the slower e30, it feels better to drive, much more fun to throw around. And you know what dude, shut the fuck up.

Better not let the guys on S14.net see that, they'll fly over there and kill the guys that built it.

First off, the "stock" diff is a med case, which that is in the picture. Given that the car looks to be running some shitball 225 tires, those will probably break traction before diff wear becomes a big enough issue, especially if they're running a real soft clutch. A medium case e30 diff is actually pretty robust, it's the same size as the rear end on a Z28.

Those halfshafts on the other hand..

I'll put a big sub and some amps in the back to balance it all out. :D
