Charlie, seriously, what is your actual favorite E30?
My "favorite"? I dunno, can I name mine? It's the only one on here I get to drive. Otherwise, I'd say Alex S's monster tired purple beast, Trent dawg's M50 swapped track rat, or Red Baron's neat little engineering exercise. Aesthetically, I'd go with shakey jake.

I suppose I should toss in an honorable mention to little jimmy warren, since I think I hurt his feelings.

Shahe and Swale have the nicest cars here, along with Ryan G.

Nicest non Ms belong to Alex Mc because its ridiculously fast and Stu and Trent because they didn't bring any fluff. Charlie also because he actually flogs it in places other than his neighborhood.

Nicest eta belongs to Ryan Stewart and that dude who has the later style bumpers.

But you're all E30 owners so everyone has a sweet car.

I would say Alex Mc. for the M catagory, although Mikes car is really badass. For the non-M, non-FI, non-track E30, Stu Mc gets the props. Riding in a built 2.5 S14 didn't give me the chills Alex's car did...and Stu's...my god. I guess you guys just need to ride in these cars to understand why they were willing to wait MONTHS for their engines. I remember for the longest time, Alex's sig said E30 M3 on Jackstands:). I've only ridden in Stu's car once, but I got into a 95 M3 today to take it for a test drive...and I was waiting for the power. I never thought I would say that...but its true. Good work guys...and to everyone else on this board. People here appreciate their cars much more than the E36 forums.

Thanks to everyone for compliments, i love my car.. should be a whole new beast once she's all done after the new year :)

My favorite E30's would have to be, in no particular order:

              Mike Swale's E30 M3
              Ted's red 3.0 E30 M20
Mariano's black E30 M3 (i dont think he posts here.. DTM COTM a while back)
              Stuart's E30 3.0 S50 (i know i'm biased, but come on.. 316d badged? that rules!)
              Trent's E30 M50
              Rui's E30 S50 Turbo

              ;)

I'm with Kav on this one man. Though, my engine insparation came from Mike Swale and Jason Bishop.

Fine, sorry.. that doesn't change the fact that he has one hell of an impressive machine though! I think, as far as non-M's go, that the euro boys got us US tuners owned on the whole. It seems to me, and this is not the law- just a generalization, that US guys don't take the non-M cars as seriously. I mean you see all these wild-ass Euro S50, V8, S38, and even V12 cars across the pond! Damn what i would do to take the V12 E30 for a spin... literally! :)

I do think that Stu has one of the coolest cars due to the sleeper effect. Hopefully my e30 will be there in the next couple of months...once I decide which engine to get....
