    auto to manual conversion

Could anyone tell me about what it would cost to have a auotmatic trans converted to a straight drive? I have an 89 325i 4 door.

$1500 for some one to do it for you includes parts on average.

Sounds ballpark for what I spent.

How much did you spend on getting it done. Cause my cuz said he would help with the work cause he could do it and a friend of his has his own garage

Euro depot sells a complete turn kit set up for a grand. Or buy a parts car and canabilize it and sell parts to recoup money. Depends on how much time you be with a car down. Not all shops have same rates, or a contract rate to do a job.

Do you feel comfortable doing the swap? If so many have done it now.

              1500 - 3000...

You have access to ALOT of replaceable things while all that is out of the car....

I redid most of my suspension/brakes while I was in there

Same here. I think I could have done the swap for about $1,500 alone, but I ended up spending more around $2,500 with everything else I did.
