I didn't think it was worth the hassle myself, even with spacers.

it goes into the hole on the top of the spark plug wrench.

              like so:

^wtf? i don't see whats so great about that lol. maybe i'm missing something. i always just used a rubber hose to fit over the spark plug and then hand-tighten it before using the torque wrench.

Edit: Kind of like this, except imagine a spark plug in place of what they already have in there. Oh, and obviously the hose would be a little longer too. Not too long thought because then that would defeat the purpose. It's just a simple safety-measure against cross-threading.

because you can change your spark plugs using only tools that came with the car?

And of course, I've at this point completely removed the tool kit and all evidence of it from my trunk, and have NO idea what I did with all of the tools.

Wow, I honestly did not know about the multiple uses of that thing. Now I have to buy a set of wheels that need spacing so I can measure them with my cool "new" tool.

that's neat, but having a stud kit pretty much makes it useless. I've never used the trunk spark plug tool either. I don't think I ever would unless I was stranded in the desert or something, but that seems unlikely.

I use the pliers, wrenches, and screwdriver all the time though.

The PO was quick to show me this tool when I got the car. Sadly, it's one of 2 tools actually remaining.

I always thought it was used in conjunction with the spark plug socket as well, until I smashed my finger up pretty bad using it in the same manner as you would use that tool, got told otherwise by the local car club what that thing was really for haha.
