Agreed. It's a cool idea, but I converted to studs like any normal car should have (you guys say Germans are genius for inventing this tool, they'd be geniuses if they used normal fucking lugnuts :hitler:), so it's useless to me.

And I have a legit toolbox in my trunk at all times so that waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles spark plug wrench is useless, too.

I guess in 1988 it was cool, though. :giggle:

Who the fuck uses the tools that come with the car? For spark plugs I use a MAC tools thin wall spark plug socket with a locking extension and for wheels I fucking stop pussing out and hold the wheel with my knee and start the bolt using an extension and socket. That tool is used for a guy in a suit changing a tire.

              For Bsaint:
Hmmm, glad to hear you do that. However, the wheel alignment tool actually helps. I should totally man up and use my knee instead of the wheel alignment tool. Any other advice on how I could work on my (perfectly running for the past 6 years) E30 better?
              For everyone else:
These tools were meant to help as a last ditch effort. If you have to carry a bunch of tools around with you becauseyou are worried your car may break, maybe you should sort your car out.

that little allen key is the window crank. the plastic bit is for the e21 i believe. the wheel alignment tool has nothing to do with it, however. look up japandrew's toolkit thread.

I don't have to, I just choose to. Aside from the fact that a lot of times when I'm at a friend's house I end up doing something to their car or around their house and the tools help.

Also, not all door cards have a provision for the manual crank.

Mother of God. I had no idea, but I always wished that putting my wheels on was easier. Good to know.

I just call AAA for a tow to my local garage. Let a mechanic figure it out!
